This bill directs the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to develop a Knights of Columbus license plate. The annual use fees from the plate will be distributed to Florida KofC Charities, Inc., a Knights of Columbus organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to fund its charitable activities, including the Christian Refugee Relief Fund, disaster relief, Ultrasound Initiative, Food for Families, and Coats for Kids. The bill specifies that the plate must bear the colors and design approved by the department, with the word "Florida" appearing at the top and the words "In God We Trust" appearing at the bottom. The bill will only take effect if similar legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension thereof and becomes law.
