This bill amends Section 88 of Chapter 221 of the General Laws to update the fees for furnishing paper or electronic transcripts of trials or hearings. The bill sets the fee for the original transcript at $3.75 per page, with $1.25 per page for additional copies ordered, but not less than $20 total. It also sets a reduced rate of $0.35 per page for additional copies requested by an indigent person or their counsel. Additionally, the bill establishes a higher rate of $5.25 per page for the original copy and $1.75 per page for additional copies when daily copy is ordered, with the same reduced rate for indigent persons.
