This bill proposes to increase the salaries of justices in the judicial branch. Specifically, it would raise the salary of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Court from $206,239 to $218,469, the Associate Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court from $200,984 to $212,902, the Chief Justice of the Appeals Court from $195,358 to $206,943, the Associate Justices of the Appeals Court from $190,087 to $201,359, the Chief Justice of the Trial Court from $184,694 to $195,646, the Regional Administrative Justices from $190,124 to $201,076, and the Associate Justices of the Trial Court from $195,628 to $207,229. Additionally, the bill provides a $2,500 annual stipend for Justices serving as a First Justice or Regional Administrative Justice. The changes would take effect on July 1, 2019.
