This bill aims to promote family stability by further reforming criminal offender record information, increasing access to employment, and preventing the unfair accrual of debt. Specifically, it requires the commissioner of corrections or the sheriff of a facility to provide information, including an application for IV-D services, to incarcerated individuals within 15 days of their admission, informing them of their right to request services from the IV-D agency to modify a child support order and avoid accruing child support arrearages. Additionally, the bill removes criminal charges that did not result in a conviction as a basis for disqualifying applicants as transportation network drivers, except for certain driving offenses. Finally, it removes the term "theft" from the list of disqualifying offenses for obtaining a gaming license.
