This bill seeks to prohibit the practice of tackle football for children in grade seven or under, while allowing non-tackling forms of football to continue. The bill imposes civil penalties of up to $2,000 for violations by schools, leagues, or other entities that allow children to participate in organized tackle football. The penalties can be increased to up to $5,000 for subsequent violations that pose a serious threat to health and safety, and up to $10,000 if the violation directly results in serious physical harm to any participant.
