This bill makes several key changes to promote affordable housing in Florida: 1. It requires counties, municipalities, and special districts to report detailed data on the impact fees they charge for affordable housing developments, including the purpose, calculation, and amount of the fees. 2. It creates a new "Local Permit Approval Process for Affordable Housing" that requires local governments to review affordable housing permit applications within 15 days, request any additional information within that timeframe, and approve or deny the application within 60 days, or the permit is automatically approved. 3. It renames and updates the "Community Workforce Housing Innovation Pilot Program" to the "Community Workforce Housing Loan Program," authorizing the Florida Housing Finance Corporation to provide loans for the construction of affordable workforce housing, with priority given to projects that set aside no more than 50% of units for workforce housing and that have local regulatory and financial incentives. 4. It requires local governments' "local housing incentive strategies" to include expediting development permits for affordable housing projects.
