This bill appropriates $100 million from the state transportation fund's bond proceeds account to the Commissioner of Transportation for trunk highway corridor projects, construction and reconstruction of local roads with statewide or regional significance, and grants to counties for rural road safety capital improvement projects on county state-aid highways. The bill also authorizes the Commissioner of Management and Budget to sell and issue bonds in an amount up to $100 million to fund this appropriation. The bill specifies that these provisions are effective the day following final enactment.
