This bill amends Michigan's Public Health Code to require health professionals (licensees or registrants) to have another medical professional present during certain medical examinations or treatments involving vaginal or anal penetration of a minor patient, unless the parent/guardian waives this requirement. It also requires the professionals to obtain written consent from the parent/guardian before performing these procedures, with some exceptions (e.g., medical emergencies, examinations related to sexual/reproductive health).
