This bill provides relief for students affected by the closure of Argosy University's Twin Cities campus. It defines "eligible students" as those who were enrolled at Argosy University, Twin Cities, during the relevant academic terms and had certain financial aid or loan issues as a result of the closure. The bill authorizes the commissioner to take various actions to assist these students, such as making direct payments of state grants and child care grants, reversing SELF loan disbursements, and informing scholarship and GI Bill recipients of their options. The bill also requires the commissioner to report on the status of the Argosy closure and the actions taken under this bill by November 30, 2019. The provisions in the bill are effective immediately and expire on June 30, 2020.
