This bill amends the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to expand the definition of aggravated assault to include attempting to cause or intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causing serious bodily injury to an employee of an agency, company, or other entity engaged in public transportation while the employee is in the performance of their duties. The bill also makes some technical changes to the grading of aggravated assault offenses. The changes in this bill aim to provide additional legal protections for public transportation employees who may be subjected to violence while on the job.
