This bill authorizes the town of Fairhaven to grant an additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises. The license can only be granted to the Hampton Inn by Hilton d/b/a Claremont Fairhaven Hotel, LLC, located at 1 Hampton Way in Fairhaven. The license can only be exercised in the dining room and other public areas deemed reasonable by the licensing authority. The license is non-transferable to other locations, but the authority can grant it to a new applicant at the same location if the license is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and Department of Unemployment Assistance. If the license is terminated, fails to be renewed, or is cancelled, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location. The license must be issued within one year of the effective date of the act.
