This bill: - Requires the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to issue annual reports and quarterly profiles on its performance, including data on case counts, placements, safety, permanency, well-being outcomes, staffing, and budgets. It also establishes a data work group to make recommendations for improving these reports. - Ensures continuity of MassHealth coverage for young adults who were in foster care or in DCF's custody upon turning 18 by automatically re-enrolling them without interruption. - Deletes certain requirements related to foster care review for children in DCF's custody. - Requires health insurance carriers to maintain accurate and up-to-date provider directories, including timely updates when providers change their status or availability, and establishes a task force to develop recommendations for improving provider directory accuracy. - Directs the Health Policy Commission to analyze the population of children with medical complexities in Massachusetts, including their demographics, services, and costs. - Creates special commissions to examine the pediatric workforce, the role of school-based health centers, and mandated reporting requirements for suspected child abuse and neglect. - Establishes a task force to study and recommend ways to improve the delivery of pediatric mental health services.
