This bill authorizes the town of Dedham to grant one additional license for the sale of beer and wine to be consumed on the premises. The license can only be granted to Forklift Corp. d/b/a The Grateful Dedham Diner located at 573 High Street in Dedham, and it must be exercised in the dining room and other public areas approved by the licensing authority. The license cannot be transferred to another location, but it can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if the new applicant is in good standing with the relevant state departments. If the license is terminated or no longer in use, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location. All licenses granted under this act must be issued within one year of the effective date of the act.
