This bill authorizes the town of Milford to grant one additional license for the sale of wines and malt beverages to be consumed on the premises. The license can only be granted to Canvas n Cup, LLC, located at 189 Main Street in Milford, and can only be exercised in the dining room and other public areas approved by the licensing authority. The license cannot be transferred to a different location, but it can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance. If the license is terminated, fails to be renewed, or is canceled or revoked, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location under the same conditions. All licenses granted under this act must be issued within one year of the effective date of the act.
