This bill amends the civil practice law and rules to create a new section 214-h, which allows for civil claims or causes of action related to certain sexual offenses or incest committed against a person 18 years of age or older that were previously barred by the statute of limitations to be revived. Such revived actions may be commenced not earlier than six months and not later than one year and six months after the effective date of this section. The bill also amends the judiciary law to direct the chief administrator of the courts to promulgate rules for the timely adjudication of these revived actions.
