This bill aims to enact a new section of the Ohio Revised Code (Section 3902.50) to cap the cost-sharing (i.e., copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses) for prescription insulin drugs at a maximum of $100 per 30-day supply, regardless of the amount or type of insulin needed to fill the covered person's prescription. This applies to all health benefit plans delivered, issued for delivery, modified, or renewed in Ohio on or after the effective date of this section, overriding the previous law in Section 3901.71 of the Revised Code.
