This bill: Extends MassHealth coverage to individuals under age 26 who were enrolled in foster care or the care and custody of the Department of Children and Families upon turning 18, without any interruption in coverage, and requires the development of a simplified redetermination form for these individuals. It also requires health insurance carriers to ensure the accuracy of provider directories, including updating them monthly, providing print copies upon request, and including contact information for reporting inaccuracies. The Division of Insurance is directed to establish a task force to develop recommendations on provider directory accuracy. Additionally, the bill requires several new studies and task forces, including an analysis of children with medical complexities, a pilot program for regional childhood behavioral health centers, a study of pediatric workforce and access issues, and a review of mandated reporter laws and regulations related to child abuse and neglect.
