This bill requires the governing boards of public universities and community colleges in Illinois to make feminine hygiene products (tampons and sanitary napkins) available at no cost to students in the bathrooms of facilities or portions of facilities that are owned, leased, or controlled by the board and used for student instruction or administrative purposes. The bill applies to the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, and community college districts. The bill takes effect immediately.
