This bill amends Florida's laws regarding the review process for comprehensive plans and plan amendments adopted by local governments whose boundaries include any portion of the Everglades Protection Area. Requiring comprehensive plans and plan amendments for local governments in the Everglades Protection Area to follow the state coordinated review process, which involves additional review and coordination with the Department of Environmental Protection to ensure the plans do not impede Everglades restoration and protection. 2. Giving the Department of Environmental Protection the responsibility to determine whether a local government's plan or plan amendment in the Everglades Protection Area adversely impacts Everglades restoration and protection, and to work with the local government to identify measures to eliminate, reduce, or mitigate any such adverse impacts. 3. Requiring the plan or plan amendment to include a written notice from the Department of Environmental Protection stating it does not impede Everglades protection and restoration before the plan can be deemed complete. 4. Expediting the review process for certain local government comprehensive plan amendments related to the Community Workforce Housing Innovation Pilot Program.
