This bill makes supplemental appropriations for fiscal year 2020 to provide additional funding for certain existing programs and activities. Specifically, it appropriates funds to the Municipal Regionalization Reserve, the Collective Bargaining Reserve, the Safety Net Provider Trust Fund, the Early College program, the expansion and enhancement of facilities that treat men with substance use disorders, the testing and treatment of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination in water supplies, and additional staffing and contract costs for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to accelerate capital projects. The bill also includes a transfer of $10 million to the Twenty-First Century Education Trust Fund to support improvement initiatives in underperforming public schools.
