This bill creates the Florida Integrity Office under the Auditor General to ensure integrity in state and local government and facilitate the elimination of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and misconduct in government. The bill provides procedures for the submission and investigation of complaints, and authorizes the Florida Integrity Officer to take certain action in response to complaints received. The bill also revises provisions relating to contractual services and commodities that are not subject to competitive-solicitation requirements, and requires the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Education to conduct investigations relating to waste, fraud, abuse, or mismanagement against a district school board or Florida College System institution.
