This bill: Adds the Division of Early Learning to the divisions of the Department of Education; revises the duties of the Early Learning Programs Estimating Conference; provides requirements for minimum child care licensing standards; requires students enrolled in the Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program to participate in a specified screening and progress-monitoring program; revises the performance standards for the Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program; and authorizes certain child development programs operating on military installations to participate in the school readiness program. The bill also makes other changes to Florida's early learning and prekindergarten programs to improve program quality, accountability, and coordination with the K-12 education system.
