This bill revises the qualification requirements for health care practitioners engaged by charter and private schools to provide Medicaid school-based services. Specifically, it removes the requirement for these practitioners to be enrolled as Medicaid providers and instead allows them to meet the provider qualifications set forth in the Florida Medicaid Certified School Match Program Coverage and Limitations Handbook. The bill also requires schools to provide an annual accounting of how the Medicaid reimbursements received under this program are used, and it takes effect on July 1, 2020.
