This bill requires the Department of Education, in consultation with the Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, to develop an online clearinghouse for school districts to exchange information regarding the availability of school security resources, including personnel and equipment, that they can make available to other school districts in the event of an emergency. The clearinghouse must only be accessible to authorized school district employees, allow users to readily identify resources available in nearby districts, and be operational within one year of the bill's effective date. The Department of Education will also publish a list of resources that school districts may require in different emergency situations to facilitate the development of the clearinghouse.
