This bill repeals the "Medical Aid in Dying for the Terminally Ill Act," which allowed terminally ill patients to request medication that they could self-administer to end their lives. The bill removes the exemption from liability for healthcare providers who disclose privileged communications when complying with the duty to warn and protect potential victims of a patient's violent acts. It also removes the provision that any action taken under the Medical Aid in Dying Act would not constitute suicide or assisted suicide.
