Bill Summary

This bill requires a public utility, upon completing a project that requires the excavation of a portion of a road that was repaved within the previous five calendar years, to repave or to provide that a contractor repave the road from the portion of the road that was excavated to the bordering curbs and street corners of the road. If the bordering street corners are farther than 150 feet from the portion of road that was excavated, then the public utility is to repave or to provide that a contractor repave 150 feet of road in the direction of each bordering street corner from the excavation site.
