This bill amends existing law to revise the requirements for automobile dealer and salesperson license renewals. Specifically, it removes the requirement that vehicle salesman licenses be renewed in accordance with the provisions of Section 49-1635 of the Idaho Code, and instead states that salesman licenses may be renewed upon application and payment of the specified fees, as long as the employee remains with the sponsoring dealership and the dealership has a valid license. The bill also clarifies the fee structure for dealer and salesperson license renewals, including retaining a portion of the fees by the Department of Transportation or an authorized agent.
