This bill, titled the "72-Hour Budget Review Act," creates a requirement for certain appropriation or revenue legislation to be made publicly available for at least 72 hours before it can be voted on or have a hearing. The bill also sets forth time requirements for amendments and striking amendments to be made publicly available before a vote can be held. The time requirements can be waived by a two-thirds vote of the full committee or house considering the legislation, in which case a statement must be included indicating that the public's right for a detailed review has been waived.
