This bill authorizes the city of Amesbury to grant up to four additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises within the city's "Sports Entertainment Business Complex" located at 24 South Hunt Road. The licenses are subject to approval and conditions set by the city's licensing authority. The licenses cannot be transferred outside of the Sports Entertainment Business Complex, but can be granted to new applicants within the complex if they are in good standing with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance. The licenses can only be exercised in the dining room of a Common Victualer or other public rooms or areas deemed reasonable by the licensing authority. All licenses must be issued within 2 years of the bill's effective date.
