This bill adds a new chapter to Idaho law, known as the Sexual Assault Protection Act, which provides an action for a sexual assault protection order. The key provisions of the bill include: 1. Providing that no filing, service, hearing, or bond fees shall be charged for these proceedings. 5. Addressing the enforcement of protection orders, including the presumption of notice for out-of-state orders and the criminal penalties for violating an order. The bill aims to expand the ability of courts to assist victims of sexual assault by providing a legal mechanism for obtaining protection orders.
