This bill establishes the Arizona Promise Scholarship Program, which is administered by the Department of Administration (ADOA) and overseen by the Arizona Promise Scholarship Commission. The program provides $4,000 annual scholarships for up to two years to eligible community college students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have deposited at least $500 into an education savings account, and meet other requirements. The bill also appropriates $96 million from the state general fund to the Arizona Promise Scholarship Fund to fund the program. The program and commission will end on July 1, 2030 and 2028, respectively.
