Bill Summary
This bill provides that an entity that receives a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts for any purpose cannot hold, within the 12-month period following the receipt of the grant, any educational course, class, or lecture on those days when the schools in the school district, in which the course, class, or lecture is held, are closed for a religious holiday. This will apply to any course, class, or lecture that requires in-person attendance or that is held on-line. If a course, class, or lecture is held on-line, it cannot be held on the days that the schools in the school district in which the entity is located are closed for a religious holiday. This will apply to a course, class, or lecture for which the public is charged a fee or that is offered free of charge.
