AI Summary

This bill encourages counties and municipalities in Mississippi to cooperate with nearby military installations to promote compatible land use and prevent incompatible development that could impact the installations' missions. The bill identifies specific major military installations and their associated counties and municipalities where this coordination is encouraged. It outlines a process where local governments are encouraged to provide information to the military installations on proposed changes to land use plans and development that could affect the installations, and the installations can provide advisory comments on the potential impacts. The local governments are then encouraged to consider the installations' input when making decisions. The bill also mentions that the state's Military Communities Council or Installation Commanders Council may recommend changes to the list of affected military installations and local governments. The bill aims to facilitate the continued presence of major military installations in the state.
