This bill adds a new section to existing Idaho law to provide for certain temporary restricted licenses. Specifically, it allows a person whose driver's license has been suspended due to a family law issue, such as non-payment of child support, to petition the court for a temporary restricted license that would allow them to drive for employment purposes to meet their child support obligations. The court can issue such a temporary restricted license with specified restrictions on times, days, and areas of use. The temporary restricted license can be revoked if the licensee violates the restrictions, and the court order for the temporary restricted license must be forwarded to the appropriate licensing authority.
