This bill amends the Charter Schools Law of the School Code to require that any renewal of a certified charter must include a "union neutrality clause." The union neutrality clause defines requirements for a charter school to remain neutral regarding the unionization of its employees, provide access to labor organizations, and recognize union representation through a majority card check process. The bill also requires a union neutrality clause to be included in any new charter school proposal. The bill takes effect immediately.
