This bill allows members of the Board of Public Utilities to serve in an unsalaried state government office, such as a board member of the New Jersey Transit Corporation. The bill amends existing law that previously prohibited members of the Board of Public Utilities from holding any other office of profit or trust under the state or federal government, with the exception of serving as a public member of the New Jersey Transit Corporation board. The bill's changes are retroactive to January 1, 2020.
