Relative to solid waste disposal facilities

AI Summary

This bill amends Massachusetts state law to give local boards of health the authority to adopt reasonable rules and regulations to protect the public health from unnecessary or excessive noise, frequent and unwarranted smoke, and obnoxious odors emanating from solid waste disposal facilities within one-half mile of the facility. The bill also amends the existing law to explicitly include "frequent and unwarranted smoke, and strong and obnoxious odors" as potential adverse impacts on air quality that must be considered when approving a solid waste disposal facility.
