AI Summary

This bill amends existing laws to create new certifications for "certified alcohol and drug counselor associate I" and "certified alcohol and drug counselor associate II." The bill sets requirements for obtaining these new certifications, including education, supervision, and work experience hours. It also reduces the required hours of experience and education for becoming a "registered alcohol and drug peer support specialist." Additionally, the bill allows for reciprocity for out-of-state professionals seeking licensure, certification, or registration in Kentucky. The overall purpose of the bill is to expand the pool of qualified professionals able to provide substance use disorder treatment and support services.
