This bill establishes a new personal use fishing permit fee in Alaska. The bill amends existing law to add a new paragraph authorizing the Department of Fish and Game to charge a fee for personal use fishing not otherwise licensed or permitted. The bill also requires the receipts from these permit fees to be accounted for separately and allows the legislature to appropriate money from this account to the department to support personal use fisheries, as well as to municipalities to support personal use fisheries based on the number of personal use fishing days in that municipality.
