Magarian, a uniformed member of the Department of State Police, at the regular rate of compensation due to injuries he sustained while performing his duties in March 2018. The bill outlines that Magarian will receive a pension equal to the regular rate of compensation he would have received had he continued in service until his death or mandatory retirement age. Additionally, Magarian will be entitled to indemnification for all hospital and medical expenses related to his injuries, as well as a lump sum of his accumulated retirement deductions upon retirement. If Magarian is married at the time of retirement, his spouse will receive 75% of his pension amount after his death.
