This bill amends the administrative code of the city of New York and the public authorities law to require notice to members of the legislature (senators and assembly members) and certain local officials (council members and community boards) relating to certain construction and other projects affecting such members' and officials' districts. The bill covers a range of projects, including major transportation projects, temporary street closures, pedestrian plaza designations, work affecting bicycle lanes, public utility company permits, and the planning of educational facilities. In each case, the relevant legislators and local officials must be notified and given the opportunity to provide input before the projects are implemented.
