To direct the Secretary of Transportation to seek to enter into an agreement with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to conduct a study on climate change mitigation efforts with respect to the civil aviation and aerospace industries, and for other purposes. This bill directs the Department of Transportation to seek to enter into an agreement with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine under which it must conduct a study on climate change mitigation efforts related to the civil aviation and aerospace industries, including developing and applying an appropriate indicator for assessing the effectiveness of such efforts.
