This bill, the "No Congressionally Obligated Recurring Revenue Used as Pensions To Incarcerated Officials Now Act," amends Title 5 of the United States Code to temporarily halt pension payments for Members of Congress who have been sentenced for certain offenses. Specifically, the bill states that individuals convicted of the offenses described in the existing law shall not be eligible to receive any pension payments during the period between their sentencing and final conviction, except for payments based on their service as a Member of Congress. If the conviction is subsequently found to be invalid, the individual will receive the payments they would have received if not for the application of this provision. This amendment only applies to convictions that occur after the date of the bill's enactment.
