To amend Chapter 24 of Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to sexual assault protocol, so as to require certain certifications to be filed; to amend Article 4 of Chapter 5 of Title 17 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to investigating sexual assault, so as to provide for the retention of evidence of sexual assault when the victim chooses not to immediately report the assault; to provide for a sexual assault case tracking system; to amend Chapter 1 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding law enforcement officers and agencies, so as to require law enforcement agencies to enter certain information into the Violent Criminal Apprehension Program established and maintained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation; to amend Chapter 34 of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to physicians, assistants, and others, so as to provide for the refusal, suspension, or revocation of the license of a physician who has committed a sexual assault on a patient; to provide for mandatory reporting by health care professionals who have reasonable cause to believe that a physician has committed a sexual assault on a patient; to provide for definitions; to provide for limited liability; to amend Chapter 34A of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to patient right to know, so as to provide for annual reporting to the General Assembly of the number of physicians investigated or disciplined for the sexual assault of patients; to provide for definitions; to provide a short title; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
