This bill amends and adds to existing law to authorize sample tastings of liquor in state liquor stores in Idaho. The key provisions include: 1. Allowing vendors, officers, clerks, servants, agents, or employees of the state liquor division to serve sample tastings of liquor on the premises of state liquor stores, whereas previously this was prohibited. 2. Establishing regulations for sample tastings, including limiting sample sizes to 0.25 ounces, limiting the number of samples per person to 3 per 24-hour period, requiring samples to be served by individuals 21 or older, and requiring samples to be served in designated tasting areas within the store. 3. Granting the state liquor division the authority to approve the time, location, method, and items to be sampled, and requiring the distilled spirits supplier to notify the Idaho State Police in advance of any approved tasting. 5. Clarifying that the retail store hosting the tasting will not incur liability for consumption of liquor authorized under this new law.
