This bill amends existing law to provide that the suspension of driving privileges shall be vacated if the related criminal charges are vacated or dismissed. Key provisions include: - If a person's license is suspended under this section and the criminal charges arising from the same incident are later vacated or dismissed, then both the suspension under this section and the suspension imposed under the criminal statutes shall also be vacated, and the person's driving privileges shall be restored on the effective date the criminal charges are vacated or dismissed. - This addresses situations where a person's license is suspended administratively following an arrest, but the related criminal charges are later dropped or the person is found not guilty. In such cases, the administrative suspension would also be vacated.
