This bill creates the Nurse Licensure Compact, which allows registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPNs/VNs) to hold a multistate license that authorizes them to practice in any of the party states that have joined the compact. The compact establishes a coordinated licensure information system to share disciplinary and investigative information among the party states, and creates the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators to oversee the compact's implementation. The bill also appropriates funding to the Minnesota Board of Nursing to implement the compact, and sets an effective date of July 1, 2020.
