This bill aims to increase transparency for individuals and guardians by requiring the Department of Developmental Services to make certain information publicly available on its website. This includes licensure and quality assurance survey results, licensure and contract status, descriptions of the sub-populations served by each provider, and information on the frequency of substantiated findings of abuse or financial exploitation from the Disabled Persons Protection Commission. The bill also requires the Department to adopt rules regarding the posting of this information and to inform individuals and guardians of its availability, while allowing for the suppression of disclosure of aggregate data sets containing four or fewer incidents to protect the privacy of data subjects.
