This bill establishes requirements for the transfer, sale, lease, and decommissioning activities of the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant. It requires that employees be paid at least the prevailing wage in the locality where the plant is located. The bill also mandates that any entity purchasing or involved in the plant's operations must maintain the current workforce through the conclusion of the transaction, hire from the existing employee pool where possible, and enter into a labor peace agreement with any labor organizations representing the workers. The provisions in Section 3 take effect immediately, while the rest of the bill becomes effective 90 days after it becomes law.
