These losses stem from increased costs for staffing, personal protective equipment, and lost revenue, as well as the tragic impact of the virus on residents and staff. The resolution also urges Congress to fully fund the rebuilding of the Paramus and Menlo Park veteran memorial homes, which are decades old and in disrepair, to ensure a safe and properly functioning environment for the approximately 950 veterans, their spouses, and families of those killed in action who reside there.
